An assistant that gets stuck is an abandoned cart.
Without help, an assistant has to guess its way around your theme: find the right variant selector, hunt for the add-to-cart button, hope it worked. Your store now tells it what it can do instead.
Works on every theme
Adding to cart does not depend on finding the right button. It calls your store directly, so it behaves the same on a custom design as on a default one.
Uses the real cart
The assistant works in the cart your customer sees on screen, with their currency, their prices and their discounts. Not a copy of it.
Answers with live data
Real stock and real prices, straight from your catalogue, instead of a feed that went stale last week.
However an agent arrives, your store answers.
They do different jobs, and all three are on by default.
WebMCP
When someone shops with an AI browser open, your store hands the assistant its own tools: search, choose a variant, fill the cart. The customer watches it happen on the page.
Storefront MCP
A public endpoint on every store, so an assistant that is not on your site can still search your products and answer questions about them.
Universal Commerce Protocol
UCP is the open standard Google, Amazon, Stripe and Microsoft are building agentic commerce on. Your store publishes a UCP profile, serves its catalogue through it, and lets an agent build a cart your customer finishes in your checkout.
Your customer still pays.
An assistant can help someone find and choose. It cannot place the order.
No tool can pay
Nothing an agent can call completes a purchase or enters payment details, and inside checkout no tools are offered at all.
No customer data
Your customer's name, email, phone and address are never shared with the assistant, even when it reads their cart.
Nothing private
Everything an agent can see is already public on your website. Your orders, costs and settings are not part of it.
It is already on. Two things make it work better.
Put your categories in your menu
An assistant offers the categories you feature in your store navigation. If your menu only links to a general products page, it can still search, but it cannot offer your categories by name. Add them in Themes > Menus.
Keep your catalogue tidy
Clear product names, real stock numbers and filled-in options are what an assistant reads to decide what to suggest. The same things that help a shopper help an agent.
Start selling to agents and to people.
